The Campsite in Florence with the best views! Plus Camping Michelangelo overlooks the beautiful city of Florence and the Arno River.

Plus Camping Michelangelo has all the facilities a backpacker could want in Florence... laundry, internet point, supermarket, cash point, 24 hour security, luggage storage and more with a terrific terrace bar, pizzeria, restaurant. Car parking is available at 5.90 Euros per night. Please note that your parking space may not be near to your tent.

The campsite with a difference, no curfew, no cramped rooms, nightly entertainment and the most sensational views.

Our accommodation is unique to youth hostels in that we use comfortable two or three person house tents instead of dorms, and these include real beds with bed sheets, blankets and pillows. Due to local bylaws protecting the surrounding olive groves we cannot provide hardtop accommodation.

The house tents you can rent privately or shared and are lockable. Towels and security boxes are available for hire from reception.

We only offer housetents at Camping Michelangelo. If you are wanting cabins you can check out our other campsites throughout Italy.

Our camping village is located close to all the major tourist attractions such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi and the Duomo, as well as restaurants, bars and night clubs; these can be easily reached on foot or by local transport from the front gate.

If you are coming home late it is advisable to have torch ready as the house tents don?t have electricity.

Check-out is by 1pm.
Check-in is from 1pm
Cancellations must be done at least 24hrs before checkin to avoid being charged for your first night?s stay.

Directions

By Bus or By Train:

If you come by train at the main station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella) take the bus number 12 in direction 'Piazzale Michelangelo' and get off at the bus stop called "Camping". Please remember to buy the ticket before getting on the bus (? 1.20) and to validate it!

If you come at the Campo di Marte station, then take bus number 13 and get off as well at the bus stop called "Camping".

If you arrive at the Rifredi station, then take the shuttle to the main station "Santa Maria Novella" and follow the directions already mentioned.

By Car:

The easiest way to find us is to leave the Autostrada A1 (highway) at Firenze Certosa and keep on going for 10 minutes in direction 'centro' (centre) of Florence. Before entering into the historical centre of Florence, follow the indications towards 'Piazzale Michelangelo'. We are 50 mt after the Piazzale on your left hand side.
